Formalities

This past weekend my sorority had its spring formal so I got to dress up and feel all pretty & fancy. I wore an outfit extremely similar to this – I only switched which black dress I wore.

You may have seen this look here, but I cannot tell you how it is absolutely my go to look for any formal event. I kept the necklace and shoes the same, but I borrowed a dress from one of my sisters. 

This is such a classic black dress that can be worn in so many ways. I often style this dress for multiple events with varying degrees of formality.

This necklace is also another staple piece to my wardrobe. I love how I can wear it with my more casual outfits and with my more formal looks. I\’ll even wear it for business events depending if it’s appropriate. 

Can we also real quick take a moment to admire these velvet heels? I am always very hesitant to buy trends especially ones I think won’t last longer than a season, but when I saw these heels I knew I just had to bring them home. 

I hope your weekend was fun and enjoyable. The weather was quite nice out so I enjoyed being outside soaking up the sun. I was quite busy this past weekend, but I liked always having something to do.
